GLOBAL FRAMEWORK FOR CLIMATE SERVICES (GFCS) ADAPTATION PROGRAMME IN AFRICA KICK OFF MEETING

 Representative of Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport Eng Edwin Mujwahuzi (Director of Transport and Infrastructure) presenting a speech on behalf of Permanent Secretary of Minister of Transport during the opening ceremony of GFCS kick off meeting on adaptation programme in Africa- Building resilience on disaster risk management, food security, nutrition and health.
GFCS Kick off meeting participants from Ministry of Transport, Tanzania Meteorological Agency, World Meteorological Organization, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Disaster Management Department, World Health Organization, World Food Programme, Embassy of Norway, International Research Institute, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Center for International Climate and Environmental Research-Oslo (CICERO), Climate Change  Agriculture and Food Security CCAFS, National Malaria Programme, University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Sokoine  University of Agriculture (SUA), Climate Consult, Centre for Weather  Climate Application and  Research (CWCAR), Environmental Protection Management Services (EPMS),  and Tanzania Redacross Society TRCS  in a group photo.

Note: Significantly Tanzania will benefit on enhancing availability of wide range of data and climate services by assuring better access to all available information as long as to empower meteorological services to better serve our key customers.
